Calabria is not named as a defen dant in Johnson’s suit. She says admin istrators gave her the runaround when she told them about Calabria’s behavior. Johnson, an African-American woman who lives in Chicago, says music professor Pier Calabria demot ed her from lead oboe in orchestra class after she confronted him about his sexual advances. Johnson has filed a lawsuit against U-M, its Board of Regents and Music School Dean Paul Boylan, claiming sexual and racial discrimination and asking for unspecified damages. She said she left because a profes sor sexually harassed her and unfair ly punished her for refusing his advances, and the university did nothing about it.
